Campus Ministries ran an Easter Basket Drive throughout the end of February and beginning of April. The University of Scranton community was invited to make an Easter Basket for a child in need, wrap it in cellophane and drop it off in Campus Ministries’ Center for Service & Social Justice.
Campus Ministries outlined what should be included in the basket, which included chocolate bunnies, wrapped candies and toys.
These baskets were made for Friends of the Poor’s Easter food and basket giveaway that took place on Tuesday, April 16. Friends of the Poor is a non-profit charitable organization that aims to bring together those who desire to give and those who are in need of assistance.
Thanks to the help from the university’s community, Campus Ministries was able to donate over 100 Easter baskets!
