Scranton Celebrates Earth Day

April 22 marks the 51st celebration of Earth Day.

While the in-person Earth Day fair is not taking place due to the pandemic, the University is holding several virtual Earth Day events.

The Environmental Art Show is being held for the 10th year, however this year it is virtual.

The exhibit debuted this past Monday.

Students, staff and faculty are responsible for this year’s submissions.

Climate Reality: There is Good News

On Wed. April 21, Lincoln Fetcher is set to hold an event on the current state of the climate.

The event will be held over Zoom.

Essay Contest

The University of Scranton also held an essay contest for local students in grades 7 through 12.

This year’s theme is “Caring for our Common Home.”

A virtual event will be held to honor participants through the Sustainability Office Facebook page 7 p.m. April 22.
