Eliza Bent is a playwright and performer based in Brooklyn, New York.<\/h3>\n

Bent is a former senior editor at American Theatre magazine, a performers with the Obie-award winning company Half Straddle, a frequent guest artist at the Great Plains Theatre Conference, and an adjunct lecturer in creative writing at Brooklyn College where she received an MFA in play-writing.<\/p>\n

Bent’s plays include “ALOHA, ALOHA, OR WHEN I WAS QUEEN (Abrons commission for April 2018), ON A CLEAR DAY I CAN SEE YOU TO ELBA (the Atlantic’s Amplified Reading Series, workshop showing with New Ohio’s ICE Factory), and THE BEYONCE, which is the next production<\/a> the\u00a0The University of Scranton Players<\/a> will be presented in Nov.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
