In 2013, I earned my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). I am also certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment which is most commonly used with patients who have difficulty producing voice due to Parkinson’s Disease. I am currently working at Wesley Village in Pittston\u00a0as a Speech Therapist. I treat patients with cognitive-linguistic, swallowing, and voice disorders as well as patients who have communication disorders as a result of\u00a0stroke and brain injury. One of my favorite moments so far is while treating a man with dementia he asked me to help him memorize a few lines from a Longfellow poem.
