Sinai Medical School in New York City has had a special admissions program designed to recruit English and humanities majors for almost 30 years. As a recent article describes it:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Adding students who are steeped in more than just science to the medical school mix is a serious strategy at Mount Sinai.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mountsinai.org\/profiles\/david-muller\">Dr. David Muller<\/a> is Mount Sinai&#8217;s dean for medical education. One wall of his cluttered office is a massive whiteboard covered with to-do tasks and memorable quotations.
