\u201cTeaching metaliteracy: a new paradigm in action\u201d published in Reference Services Review<\/em> has been selected by the journal\u2019s editorial team as the Outstanding Paper in the 2015 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the co-authored article, Witek and Grettano posit that rhetorical and information literacy practices and attitudes are evolving through the use of social media. Through research conducted in their co-taught WRTG 224: Rhetoric & Social Media course, they argue that information now comes to users; information recall and attribution are now social; evaluation is now social; and information is now open.<\/p>\n
