{"id":751,"date":"2017-01-04T09:54:07","date_gmt":"2017-01-04T14:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/extremephysiology\/?p=751"},"modified":"2017-01-15T09:55:20","modified_gmt":"2017-01-15T14:55:20","slug":"go-go-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/extremephysiology\/2017\/01\/04\/go-go-go\/","title":{"rendered":"GO, GO, GO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today was a day full of non-stop movement. \u00a0We biked, we ran, and we biked again. \u00a0The day started out back at the University of Arizona where we performed the Wingate test. It definitely wasn\u2019t easy, but we all finished. \u00a0So back into the van we went and devoured our packed lunches.<\/p>\n<p>We had a nice break when we got back to the house. Some of us dozed off (me included) and others just chilled. \u00a0This was when Dr. Sweeney and Professor Fay were assembling their bikes that were shipped from Scranton. \u00a0So, after intense biking this morning and running a mile and a half this afternoon, our day was not complete. \u00a0Everyone begrudgingly put on their bike shorts to prepare for our first bike ride. \u00a0The general consensus was that they are definitely not comfortable, but they ended up saving our asses, literally. \u00a0We then set out on a bike ride that was a little over 11 miles long.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/extremephysiology\/files\/2017\/01\/P5-Group.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/extremephysiology\/files\/2017\/01\/P5-Group.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-759 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/extremephysiology\/files\/2017\/01\/P5-Group.jpg\" width=\"664\" height=\"886\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/extremephysiology\/files\/2017\/01\/P5-Group.jpg 664w, https:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/extremephysiology\/files\/2017\/01\/P5-Group-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 664px) 100vw, 664px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When we returned to our haven that is the Tucson house, it was easy to see just how exhausted everyone was. \u00a0Stairs were not a fun time for anyone. \u00a0Casey, Dave, and Brian braved the ice-cold pool to soothe their aching and tired legs. \u00a0Lizzy even went for a swim (props to them all).<\/p>\n<p>Now Kyle and Anthony are cooking dinner for us; chicken and eggplant marsala are on the menu tonight. \u00a0I think we\u2019re all looking forward to some delicious food and relaxation.<\/p>\n<p>-Geena<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was a day full of non-stop movement. \u00a0We biked, we ran, and we biked again. \u00a0The day started out back at the University of Arizona where we performed the Wingate test.
