Her books include\u00a0Women in the Church of God in Christ: Making A Sanctified World<\/em>. Her current projects include,\u00a0White Evangelical Racism: The Politics of Morality in America<\/em>, out in March 2021, and\u00a0Reading Race: How Publishing created a lifeline for Black Baptists in Post Reconstruction America<\/em>. Professor Butler currently serves as\u00a0President Elect\u00a0of the American Society for Church history, and is also member of the American Academy of Religion, American Historical Association, and the International Communications Association. She is also on the Board of Trustees for Loyola Baltimore.
