With the Alternate Greeting feature, you can have a different outgoing greeting when you will be away for an extended period, such as when you are on vacation, so callers won\u2019t expect to hear back from you right away.<\/p>\n<p>Before calling, decide if you want to turn your alternate greeting on immediately or if you want to tell it an \u201cIn Date\u201d and time to turn it on.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399\"><strong>To\u00a0record and activate YOUR\u00a0Alternate Greeting, follow the items in bold:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dial 2450<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Enter your ID followed by #<\/strong>\u00a0 (this is your personal 4 digit voice mail ID)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enter your password followed by #<\/strong> (the pin for your personal mailbox)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Press 4 for Set up options<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Press 1 for greetings<\/strong><br \/>\nYou will hear \u201cYour current greeting is the standard greeting\u201d (it will play the greeting)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Press 2\u00a0for alternate Greeting.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>To set an end date press 1<\/li>\n<li>To leave it on indefinitely, press 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You may then choose to re\u2010record the greeting by pressing 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you return you will need to set your voicemail back to the standard greeting.
