{"id":10159,"date":"2017-04-03T18:32:54","date_gmt":"2017-04-03T22:32:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/library\/?p=10159"},"modified":"2017-04-03T18:32:54","modified_gmt":"2017-04-03T22:32:54","slug":"spotlight-on-student-worker-christine-jerome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/library\/2017\/04\/03\/spotlight-on-student-worker-christine-jerome\/","title":{"rendered":"Spotlight on Student Worker Christine Jerome"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/library\/files\/2017\/04\/Chris.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10160 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/library\/files\/2017\/04\/Chris.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"109\" height=\"111\" \/><\/a>Shortly after her arrival at The University of Scranton in late summer 2013, Christine Jerome of Union, New Jersey made her way to the Weinberg Memorial Library seeking a Work Study position.\u00a0 After spending all four years of high school volunteering as the librarian\u2019s assistant, she was anxious to work in a setting where she felt at home and familiar with the job.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to believe that now she\u2019s been with us for almost four years.<\/p>\n<p>Chris is a Biology major who minors in French.\u00a0 In addition to speaking French, she can speak some Creole too.\u00a0 She is an active member of the United Color Organization (UCO), the Asia Club, the Fencing Club and the Liva Arts Company.\u00a0 Of course she enjoys reading \u2013 her favorite genres are history, fantasy and mysteries.\u00a0 A few other pastimes she enjoys are art, music, fitness &amp; health and baking.<\/p>\n<p>At the Circulation Desk, Chris enjoys interacting with the patrons and has gained great customer service skills.\u00a0 She is a pleasant co-worker who is always willing to learn something new and help out wherever needed.\u00a0 She often advises other students to take advantage of the Palci EZBorrow\u00a0 &amp;
