Klonoski, Michael Friedman, and the Library&#8217;s own Michael Knies will be engaging community members in discussions of books, films, and philosophy relevant to each of their respective topics.<\/p>\n<p>For a look at modern global politics, take a look at this semester&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/academic.scranton.edu\/department\/wml\/schemel-luncheons.html\" target=\"_blank\">luncheon seminar series<\/a>.\u00a0 Author <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paragkhanna.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Parag Khanna<\/a> returns to the University this year on February 17 to discuss &#8220;Global Politics and Economics: A 21st Century View.&#8221;\u00a0 We&#8217;re also looking forward to February 26, when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usip.org\/specialists\/j-alexander-thier\">Alex Thier<\/a> from the United States Institute of Peace\u00a0 will speak on &#8220;Enigma and Dilemma: Our Fraught Relationship with Afghanistan and Pakistan,&#8221; and March 5, when CNN correspondent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/CNN\/anchors_reporters\/dougherty.jill.html\" target=\"_blank\">Jill Dougherty<\/a> will speak\u00a0 on &#8220;Who Runs Russia?
