Mahoney and Paul Rauber explaining the biochemistry behind groundhog weather prognostication (in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sierraclub.org\/sierra\/201001\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Sierra<\/em><\/a> magazine)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eol.org\/pages\/327979\" target=\"_blank\">Encyclopedia of Life<\/a> can tell you everything you could ever want know about the groundhog (aka <em>Marmota monax<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/donna-henes\/groundhog-day-halfway-thr_b_444430.html\" target=\"_blank\">Groundhog Day: Halfway Through Winter<\/a>: A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Huffington Post <\/a>article by Donna Henes on Groundhog Day as the winter midpoint<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.groundhog.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Official Website of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club<\/a> has all the inside info on Phil and his Inner Circle of protectors (did you know that Phil lives at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.punxsutawneyboro.com\/library\/\" target=\"_blank\">Punxsutawney Memorial Library<\/a> when he&#8217;s not busy looking for his shadow?)<\/li>\n<li>VisitPA has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitpa.com\/things-to-do\/see-more-pa\/groundhog-day\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">webcams<\/a> set up so that you can watch the action at Gobbler&#8217;s Knob live (starting at 3am tomorrow)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And don&#8217;t forget, if you just can&#8217;t wait to know whether or not Phil sees his shadow, this year you can get his prognostication via text message.\u00a0 Just text &#8220;Groundhog&#8221; to 247365 (standard rates apply).<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of what Phil predicts, we here at the Library are back on our regular hourly schedule for the Spring 2010 semester.
