{"id":648,"date":"2009-03-02T19:17:37","date_gmt":"2009-03-02T23:17:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wmlinfospot.wordpress.com\/?p=648"},"modified":"2016-07-20T16:13:46","modified_gmt":"2016-07-20T20:13:46","slug":"free-prints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/library\/2009\/03\/02\/free-prints\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Prints"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You asked, we listened&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;  Normal 0     false false false  EN-US X-NONE X-NONE              MicrosoftInternetExplorer4              &lt;![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;                                                                                                                                            &lt;![endif]--> To:<span> <\/span>Students<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">From: Bonnie Strohl, Library Associate Director<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Re:<span> <\/span>200 Additional Prints for the Library UniPrint Stations<\/p>\n<div style=\"border:medium medium 1.5pt none none solid 0 0 windowtext;padding:0 0 1pt\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"border:medium none;padding:0\">Date:<span> <\/span>February 27, 2009<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Each year the Library has allocated 200 free prints to students for printing from the Internet on the Library\u2019s UniPrint workstations located in the Fist floor Pro Deo Room and on the second floor.<span> <\/span>Last year student government asked for an increase of 50 prints bringing the annual total to 250 a year.<span> <\/span>We have learned that the way in which these prints were made available to students created the impression that students would receive 200 prints a semester.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">To meet students\u2019 expectations that they will have 200 prints a semester, the Library will add 200 prints to students\u2019 cards this semester.<span> <\/span>From this point forward, all students will receive 200 prints in the fall and 200 prints in the spring each year (a total 0f 400 an academic year).<span> <\/span>Unused prints do not roll over.<span> <\/span>In the interest of sustainability, we encourage students to be conservative in their use of their prints.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">We thank the students who came forward to bring this to our attention.<span> <\/span>If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at <a href=\"mailto:strohlb1@scranton.edu\">strohlb1@scranton.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>The additional prints will be applied to students\u2019 cards by the end of the day Wednesday March 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">There ya have it! This has been a thorny situation for the past few weeks, and we are grateful to the students who spoke up about this.
