{"id":2648,"date":"2010-03-25T14:42:11","date_gmt":"2010-03-25T14:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/tag\/home\/"},"modified":"2014-07-28T12:54:11","modified_gmt":"2014-07-28T16:54:11","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/tag\/home\/","title":{"rendered":"Who We Are"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About Us<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The University of Scranton Technology Advisory Group, a subcommittee of the Faculty Senate&#8217;s Academic Support committee, is composed of individuals interested in the advancement, promotion, and propagation of educationally appropriate technology. \u00a0We aim to be a conduit which facilitates communication and compromise between faculty needs and the capabilities of our infrastructure. \u00a0We intend to make recommendations and investigate solutions to technology issues facing our faculty. \u00a0We will explore up-and-coming technology products, evaluate those products in their usefulness to our faculty, and strive to place our university at the cutting edge of capability and productivity. \u00a0We will solicit feedback from faculty and address as many individual needs as possible. \u00a0Please feel free to <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/tag\/contact-us\/\" target=\"_blank\">contact us<\/a> with any university technology concerns you may have.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guidelines for Faculty Input on Technology Decisions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2010, TAG members drafted <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.scranton.edu\/tag\/home\/guidelines\/\">guidelines<\/a> to codify shared expectations between the faculty and any administrative bodies that are responsible for technology resources on campus.\u00a0 These guidelines have been reviewed by representatives from the Faculty Senate, Information Resources, Academic Affairs, as well as the Faculty Affairs Council.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Faculty Members &#8211; 2014-2015<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Teresa Conte, Nursing (PCPS) &#8211; <em>co-chair<\/em><br \/>\nDr. Dave Dzurec, History (CAS) &#8211; <em>co-chair<\/em> (on sabbatical in Spring 2015)<br \/>\nDr. Andrew LaZella, Philosophy (CAS) &#8211; <em>co-chair<\/em> (on sabbatical in Fall 2014)<br \/>\nDr. Jeremy Brees, Management\/Marketing (KSOM)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/timcannonshomepage\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Timothy Cannon<\/a>, Psychology\/Neuroscience (CAS)<br \/>\nDr. Paul Cutrufello, Exercise Science and Sport (PCPS)<br \/>\nProf. Tara Fay, Biology (CAS)<br \/>\nDr. Kathleen M.
