As writers we face many struggles.\u00a0<\/span>Every time<\/span>\u00a0we start typing,\u00a0<\/span>we may\u00a0<\/span>start asking questions like:<\/span>\u00a0How do\u00a0<\/span>I<\/span>\u00a0say what\u00a0<\/span>I<\/span>\u00a0mean? What adjective best describes an object? Is this\u00a0<\/span>ar<\/span>gument strong enough?\u00a0<\/span>Does<\/span>\u00a0my analysis make sense?\u00a0<\/span>These questions sneak up on everyone, and\u00a0<\/span>you\u2019re<\/span>\u00a0not alone when you ask them.\u00a0<\/span>We\u2019d<\/span>\u00a0all prefer that we could just write without these problems facing us at every turn, and while we cannot\u00a0<\/span>completely avoid them, the remedy to writer\u2019s block\u00a0<\/span>often\u00a0<\/span>comes before we even start to think about what we write.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Reading is a vital skill for everyone, a fact that people often forget.<\/span>\u00a0We cannot write w<\/span>ithout the ability to understand what we are writing about. However, this comes with its own problems. As one\u2019s academic career progresses it may be common to find journal\u00a0<\/span>articles<\/span>\u00a0or textbooks with confusing language.\u00a0<\/span>Perhaps it<\/span>\u00a0is too wordy or th<\/span>ere are words that you do not yet know. Whatever the problem may be, there are\u00a0<\/span>too<\/span>ls to help.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One of these tools is a website called\u00a0<\/span>R<\/span>ewordify<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Rewor<\/span>dify<\/span>\u00a0allows you to copy and paste a paragraph that you\u00a0<\/span>are having trouble\u00a0<\/span>comprehending<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0will break down words that are difficult to understand.\u00a0<\/span>For example, a sentence that\u00a0<\/span>uses the word \u201cdefamation\u201d will be replaced with the phrase \u201c<\/span>saying lies<\/span>\u00a0that hurt someone else\u2019s reputation.\u201d This defines what defamation\u00a0<\/span>is but does so in a manner that fits it into the text.\u00a0<\/span>By breaking down bigger words,\u00a0<\/span>Rewordify<\/span>\u00a0can help a reader understand\u00a0<\/span>lengthy articles about topics that have a lot of vocabulary\u00a0<\/span>that\u00a0<\/span>they are not familiar with.\u00a0<\/span>Further,\u00a0<\/span>Rewordify will generate vocabulary quizzes for students looking to expand their horizons. This can help students improve their lexicon, which in turn improves\u00a0<\/span>their<\/span>\u00a0writing.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
