IR has shared with us these instructions (PDF) for faculty and staff who need to update pages on the new academic server (not the CMS).

With WS FTP, my old reliable – I get some blocking call cancelled message after a long delay…if I use port 21 (by accident) I get a login incorrect message.
Hm, I’m forwarding this to IR to see if they can figure out what’s wrong. Will update when I have more info. Thanks, Tim!
Immediate response was that it might be due to the planned systems downtime today – recommendation is to try again on Tuesday, and if it still doesn’t work, report it to the TSC. I’ll post again on Tuesday if I get any updates. Sorry to not have a better answer :(
