Eliza Bent is a playwright and performer based in Brooklyn, New York.
Bent is a former senior editor at American Theatre magazine, a performers with the Obie-award winning company Half Straddle, a frequent guest artist at the Great Plains Theatre Conference, and an adjunct lecturer in creative writing at Brooklyn College where she received an MFA in play-writing.
Bent’s plays include “ALOHA, ALOHA, OR WHEN I WAS QUEEN (Abrons commission for April 2018), ON A CLEAR DAY I CAN SEE YOU TO ELBA (the Atlantic’s Amplified Reading Series, workshop showing with New Ohio’s ICE Factory), and THE BEYONCE, which is the next production theĀ The University of Scranton Players will be presented in Nov.
