Now that we’ve all had our turkey, it’s nose to the grindstone as we head into dead week and final exams. The Library will be open extended hours, beginning tomorrow night, for late night studying. Here’s our schedule for the next two weeks:

Monday, December 2: 8:00am – 11:30pm
Tuesday, December 3: 8:00am – 12:00am
Wednesday, December 4: 8:00am – 12:00am
Thursday, December 5: 8:00am – 12:00am
Friday, December 6: 8:00am – 10:00pm
Saturday, December 7: 9:00am – 10:00pm
Sunday, December 8: 12:00pm – 12:00am
Monday, December 9: 7:00am – 2:00am
Tuesday, December 10: 7:00am – 2:00am
Wednesday, December 11: 7:00am – 2:00am
Thursday, December 12: 7:00am – 2:00am

We’ve all been studying very hard and doing a lot of work as the semester wraps up. Late night hours and lack of sleep can be very stressful, so why not enjoy a nice lollipop as you do your work?  Our trusty librarian friends have supplied the students with lollipops at the reference desk for finals week. As you study all week, feel free to grab one!

Also, note the bookmarks advertising the library’s first annual Library Research Prize–a new program where you could win $500 for the research you are already doing for your classes. Click on the link for details on how to enter.

And remember, we’re open until 2 am tonight, tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Happy studying!

Those of you who are frequent visitors to the Library may have noticed that this week we’ve been closing 30 minutes later than usual. That’s because our extended hours leading up to finals have begun! Here is the schedule:

Tuesday-Thursday, Dec. 1st-3rd, 8AM-12Midnight

Friday, Dec. 4th, 8AM-10PM

Saturday, Dec. 5th, 9AM-9PM

Sunday, Dec. 6th, 12Noon-12Midnight

Monday-Thursday, Dec. 7th-10th, 7AM-2AM

Friday, Dec. 11th, 8AM-12Midnight

Saturday, Dec. 12th, 8AM-5PM

And as usual, the Pro Deo room is open 24 hours, and is accessible by swiping your Royal Card after hours.

It’s that time of the semester again. The Library has been filled to the brim these past few days, which means finals are almost here.

To help make your job of studying and paper-writing easier, here are the Library’s extended hours over the next 2 weeks:

Monday-Thursday, May 11-May 14: 8:00 a.m. – Midnight

Friday, May 15: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 16: 9:00 a.m. –  9:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 17: Noon – 2:00 a.m.

Monday-Wednesday, May 18-20: 7:00 a.m. –  2:00 a.m.

Thursday, May 21: 8:00 a.m. – Midnight

Friday, May 22: 8:00 a.m. –  4:30 p.m.

Then, on Memorial Day Weekend and the week following, our hours will be:

Saturday-Monday, May 23 – 25: Closed

Tuesday-Thursday, May 26 – 28: 8:00 a.m. –  4:30 p.m.

Also, just a reminder that the Pro Deo room will be open 24 hours, like usual, leading up to and including finals week.

Thanksgiving Weekend:

November 26, Wednesday — 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
November 27-29, Thursday-Saturday — Closed
November 30, Sunday — 12 Noon-11:30 p.m.

Extended Hours:

December 1 – December 4, Monday-Thursday — 8:00 a.m.-12 Midnight
